I hate to ask,-- and even worse, ask for a lot of songs-- but I'm desperate. Does anyone have:

Secret by The Pierces
Three Wishes by The Pierces
Demolition Lovers by My Chemical Romance
Bad Boy by The Jive Bombers
Saved by Lavern Baker
Bad Things (theme from True Blood) by Jace Everett
Oh, I'm Sorry (The PMS song) by ???
Because Dead by Suicide Kiss
Fuck You by Archive
I Love My Sex by Benny Benassi

It seems almost every day I hear something in the news that makes me want to take action, be it inspiring, revolting, or, most frequently of late, aggravating. Not only is the recent tid bit upsetting, but the manner in which it was handled is disturbing; no major media outlet (besides the Chicago Tribune) has covered and/or broadcasted this story. Please give your thoughts  and sign the petition.

The really upsetting part is that it seems this story is just going to be swept under the rug. I bet raciaI tensions are still very high there (and in places like Jena) and this kind of injustice is common place. Unless it becomes publicized and made national news for (both white and black America) this type of thing is just going to keep happening.

That's why you should totally sign this PETITION so that the "Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice review events surrounding the prosecution of six Black students in Jena, Louisiana, to determine whether the civil rights of Jena residents have been violated".

The Show Must Go On

After watching Project Runway this week I was filled with disgust and sadness. They cut Malan Breton the designer from Taiwan whom I had definately warmed up to. ANd to add insult to injury they kept the psychotic Vincent and the leeching Angela. I felt so awful about it that I decided to make my first fanmix dedicated to Malan.

(Sorry for the bad coverart. All I have is Paint.)

Do You Realize??  by The Flaming Lips

It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

This such a pretty, uplifting song about life that I feel gives Malan a bright future.

After All by The Cardigans

I have never been happy before
and on a night like this
you can hear the words

I imagine is something Malan would listen to because it have the romantic moonlight quality to it.

Underneath It All by No Doubt
Underneath it all
And you're really lovely

When we first meet Malan he seems very arrogant and weird, but overtime we see he's really sweet.

Boys Don't Cry by The Cure
I try to laugh about it
Hiding the tears in my eyes
'cause boys don't cry

This is for infamous scene when Malan tries not to cry in front of other designers

Complicated Melody by India Arie
If he were a dance
He'd be complicated like the tango
Exotic like a mango
But if here a song
He'd be a complicated melody

Basically Malan is pretty different and complicated guy.

When I Grow Up by Garbage
When I grow up
I'll be stable
When I grow up
I'll turn the tables

This is upbeat song about Malan proving his mom wrong about being a designer.

Please, Please, Please let Me get what I want by The Smiths
Good times for a change
See, the luck I've had
Can make a good man
Turn bad

From what we know Malan hasn't had a very good life. He said himself that he never really had any friends.

Stop Crying Your Heart Out by Oasis
Hold up... hold on... don't be scared
You'll never change what's been and gone
May your smile... Shine on... Don't be scared

This another song that is meant to cheer you up and move on with your life.

Heard 'Em Say by Kanye West feat. Adam Levine
And I heard 'em say, nothin ever promised tomorrow today.
(Nothing's ever promised tomorrow today.)
But we'll find a way
And nothing lasts forever but be honest babe, it hurts but it may be the only way

Even though things are bad today, it doesn't mean it'll be that way forever.

Pure Imagination by Maroon 5
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there you'll be free
If you truly wish to be

I chose this because it's a whimsical song that I adore and it seems to fit Malan's character.

O-o-h Child by The Five Stairsteps
Some day, yeah
We'll get it together and we'll get it all done
Some day
When your head is much lighter

This is the classic and original everything will be alright song.

Everything is Everything by Lauryn Hill
Sometimes it seems
We'll touch that dream
But things come slow or not at all

What is meant to be will be.

Don't Panic by Coldplay
Bones sinking like stones
All that we've fought for
All these places we've grown
All of us are done for

It seems like a happy-go-lucky song, but it's not. It's about the unfairness of the world. Example: Vincent and Angela still being on Project Runway.

Future by Musiq Soulchild
Don't you ever let no one tell you to grow up and give up on your
dreams.
Ain't nothing worse than to let someone tell you to grow up and
give up on your dreams.

This is particularly for Malan's mother and anyone else who tried to deter him from his dreams.

Okay I feel better now. I adore comments so leave one. :)

Author's Note: I would like to give a huge thank you to my lovely beta, [info]theoryoferin for all wonderful suggestions and corrections. She's lovely.  I tried to keep it from being too sententious, but I'm not sure I achieved my goal. As always please review!

A/N: Oh my Lord, I went through so much crap to post this on livejournal. My format was all messed up, some sections of the story were with other sections, the preview kept showing me the wrong thing, etc.... Never again.
